This web app allows you to speak Bible-related phrases or topics, and it will return relevant Bible verses. It uses voice recognition to interpret your input and fetches results from a local verse database and an online API.

How to Use the App

Note: Please make sure that you are in a noise-free or quiet environment. Be audible when pronouncing words.

1. Start the App

• Open the webpage in a desktop browser with a microphone enabled or use your phone and allow access to microphone.

2. Listen for a Bible Topic

• Click the Listen button (centered at the top).
• Speak a Bible-related word or phrase (e.g., “love,” “creation,” “strength”).
• The app will transcribe what you say and search for matching Bible verses.

3. Stop Listening (Optional)

• You can stop listening at any time by clicking the Stop button just below the Listen button.
• This will cancel listening and reset the button back to “Listen.”

4. View Results

• If your voice is clear and matches known Bible keywords, the app will display:
  • Matched verses from a local Bible set.
  • Extra results from an online Bible API (if available).
• If no results are found, a helpful message is shown.

5. Interact with Results

• For each result:
  • Click Hear to listen to the verse read aloud.
  • Click Copy to copy the verse to your clipboard.

6. Retry Listening

• After each search attempt, the Listen button becomes Listen Again.
• Click it to search again with a new spoken phrase.

Tips for Best Results

• Be in a quiet environment.
• Speak clearly and slowly.
• Use single keywords or simple phrases like “God’s love” or “creation of the world.”
• Ensure microphone permissions are enabled in your browser.

System Requirements

• Use Chrome, Edge, or any browser that supports access to microphone.
• Microphone access must be granted.
• This app is designed for desktop only (not mobile responsive)
